Jaylon Walker Found Shot to Death Inside Vehicle on Highway 61 South, Investigation Underway

The Vicksburg community is seeking answers after a late-night incident left a Hermanville man dead along Highway 61 South. When officers arrived at the scene, they located the victim inside a vehicle. The individual was identified as Jaylon Walker of Hermanville, Mississippi. Authorities confirmed that Walker was pronounced deceased at the scene.

According to a statement released by the Vicksburg Police Department, officers responded at approximately 11:16 p.m. on February 11, 2026, to an E-911 call reporting a male individual who had suffered a gunshot wound near Highway 61 South and Demby Drive.
