Emmaliz Rosado Killed in Vineland Crash
VINELAND, New Jersey — A 23-year-old Millville woman lost her life in a three-vehicle crash Monday morning, Feb. 16, according to the Vineland Police Department.
Emmaliz Rosado was driving a 2005 Honda Civic northbound on Delsea Drive approaching Sherman Avenue just before 9:15 a.m. when her vehicle made contact with a 2009 Ford Flex, also traveling northbound. Police said the impact caused Rosado’s vehicle to lose control, cross into the opposing lane of traffic, and enter the path of a 2017 Peterbilt commercial truck.
The Honda Civic sustained heavy damage, and Rosado had to be extricated from the vehicle by the Vineland Fire Department. She was transported by EMS to Cooper Trauma Center, where she later succumbed to her injuries.
Delsea Drive was closed for several hours as officers from the department’s Traffic Safety Unit investigated the crash, with assistance from the New Jersey Department of Transportation.
Friends and loved ones describe Rosado as full of life, always smiling, and bringing light to those around her. Her sudden passing has left family and the Millville and Vineland communities heartbroken.
The investigation remains ongoing. Anyone with information is urged to contact Officer Christian Morales of the Traffic Safety Unit at 856-691-4111 ext. 4942, referencing VPD Case #26-9591.
