Huntsville Woman Fatally Struck on Pulaski Pike
Authorities have identified Denesha Decole Similton, 37, of Huntsville, as the woman who was killed after being struck by a vehicle on Pulaski Pike early Thursday morning.
The incident occurred around 4:30 a.m. at the intersection of Pulaski Pike NW and Mastin Lake Road. Huntsville Police Department (HPD) confirmed that Similton died at the scene. The driver of the vehicle was not injured.
HPD’s Traffic Homicide Unit investigated the crash and determined that Similton was in the roadway when she was hit by a southbound vehicle. The driver was released after cooperating with investigators.
No further details regarding the circumstances surrounding the incident have been released. Authorities are urging anyone with information to contact HPD.
The tragic loss has left the local community mourning Similton’s death.
