Officers with the Tipp City Police Department responded to a residence in the 900 block of Cunningham Court at approximately 2:31 a.m. following reports of a break-in and a resident shot inside the home.
Upon arrival, officers encountered Ashley’s husband and the couple’s two children, who were inside at the time of the incident. Despite emergency response efforts, Ashley was pronounced deceased at the scene. Authorities reported clear signs of forced entry and described the tragedy as a burglary gone wrong. The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation is assisting as the investigation remains ongoing.
