Three Killed in Wayne Township Two-Vehicle Crash on SR 60
A tragic two-vehicle crash on State Route 60 claimed the lives of three people Saturday afternoon and remains under investigation.
According to authorities, the collision occurred around 3:08 p.m. on February 14, 2026. The Muskingum County Sheriff’s Office reported that 18-year-old Adam Cornelison of Duncan Falls was driving a 2010 Mercury Milan southbound when his vehicle crossed left of center and struck a northbound 2025 Honda CR-V.
Cornelison was pronounced dead at the scene. Officials said he was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
Two passengers in the Honda — 29-year-old Mackenzie Lawrence and 22-year-old Brooklyn Stanley, both of Newark — were transported to Genesis Hospital for treatment. Tragically, both later succumbed to their injuries. The driver of the Honda, 53-year-old Bradley Stanley of Newark, survived the crash.
Multiple agencies responded to assist at the scene, including local fire and EMS departments and the Ohio Department of Transportation.
Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision. Officials are reminding motorists to follow traffic laws and wear seatbelts to help prevent future tragedies.
