Tragic Argument in North Harris County Leaves Malcolm Lee Dead, Emily Seeman Charged

Authorities have released new information following a deadly shooting that occurred overnight in the 24700 block of Hufsmith Kohrville Road, resulting in the death of a 25-year-old man.

The victim has been identified as Malcolm Wayne Lee, 25. Deputies with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) responded to reports of a shooting and arrived to find Lee unresponsive with apparent gunshot wounds. Emergency medical personnel transported him to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced deceased shortly after arrival.

According to investigators, a possible suspect fled the scene into a wooded area before law enforcement arrived. Deputies quickly established a perimeter with assistance from partner agencies in an effort to locate the individual involved.

Authorities later identified Emily Rose Seeman, 24, as the suspect in the case. Crime Scene Investigators and Homicide detectives conducted an extensive follow-up investigation. Seeman was taken into custody and charged with murder in connection with Lee’s death. She has since been booked into the Harris County Jail.

Preliminary findings indicate that Lee and Seeman were previously in a dating relationship. Investigators learned that Lee had reportedly arrived at the location with his new girlfriend to visit a friend. Seeman was already present when an argument allegedly broke out between her and Lee, escalating into gunfire.

The Harris County Sheriff’s Office stated that the investigation remains ongoing as detectives continue reviewing evidence and interviewing witnesses. Authorities have not released additional details at this time.
