Two Middle Tennessee Businessmen Among Four Killed in Colorado Plane Crash
Two prominent Middle Tennessee businessmen were among four people killed in a plane crash near Denver early Friday morning.
According to a preliminary report from the Federal Aviation Administration, an Epic Aircraft E1000 crashed near Emerald Mountain in Colorado around 12:20 a.m. The Routt County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that four people were found dead at the scene.
The Routt County Coroner’s Office identified the victims as Aaron Stokes, 47; his son, Jakson Stokes, 21; his nephew, Colin Stokes, 21; and Austin Huskey, 37.
Stokes, a resident of Franklin, was the founder of EuroFix and Shop Fix Academy. He built EuroFix from a one-car garage in 1999 into a multi-location operation serving communities across Middle Tennessee, including Nashville, Franklin, Murfreesboro, Belle Meade, and Mount Juliet. Known for his mentorship of other shop owners, Stokes was widely respected in the automotive industry.
Huskey was the CEO and owner of Huskey Building Supply, a third-generation, family-owned business with locations in Franklin, Mt. Juliet, and Murfreesboro. He was recognized in 2025 as an LBM Journal “40 Under 40” honoree.
Both men are remembered as devoted family members and influential business leaders whose impact extended throughout the region.
