Two Young Men Killed, One Injured in Shooting at South Carolina State University
Two young men have died and another was injured following a Thursday night shooting on the campus of South Carolina State University.
The university issued a campus lockdown around 9:15 p.m. after reports of a shooting inside an apartment at the Hugine Suites student residential complex. The lockdown remained in effect until approximately 5 a.m. Friday.
The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) is leading the investigation.
According to Orangeburg County Coroner Sean Fogle, the victims have been identified as:

Henry L. Crittington, 19, of Orangeburg — pronounced dead at the scene.

Terrell Tayshaun Thomas, 18, of Norway, South Carolina — transported to MUSC Health Orangeburg, where he later died.
A third individual was injured in the shooting, though officials have not released additional details about that person’s condition.
University officials canceled all classes Friday and made counseling services available to students as the campus community mourns.
