Police Investigate Fatal Shooting in Champaign — Victim Identified as 33-Year-Old Aaron Sibley

Authorities are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred in Champaign, Illinois, on Friday evening.

According to police, officers responded to the 500 block of East Columbia Avenue around 5:22 p.m., where they found 33-year-old Aaron Sibley in an alley with gunshot injuries. He was later pronounced dead.

The Champaign Police Department has confirmed the case is being treated as a homicide. No suspects have been identified at this time.
