Walmart Employee Found Shot Dead in Car During Break; Ex-Partner Charged with Murder

A tragic incident unfolded in Nitro, West Virginia, where 40-year-old Misty Rose Williams, a Walmart employee, was found dead inside her vehicle in the store’s parking lot.

According to the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office, Williams had gone on a work break but failed to return. Concerned coworkers went to check on her and discovered her slumped over in her car with an apparent gunshot wound.

Investigators reviewed surveillance footage, which led them to identify 54-year-old Eric Dewayne Richmond as the suspect. Authorities confirmed that Richmond and Williams share children together.

Richmond has since been charged with first-degree murder and is expected to appear in court. Officials emphasize that he is presumed innocent until proven guilty.

The case remains under investigation.
