A second victim in the early morning shooting in Inkster has now been identified as 15-year-old Zhyon Wilson, as authorities continue investigating the tragic incident that claimed the lives of two teenagers.
Police responded around 4:50 a.m. to the 26000 block of Penn, near Inkster Road and Michigan Avenue, after reports of a gunshot victim seeking help at a nearby home. A 17-year-old male was transported to a hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
During a search of the area, officers followed a blood trail to a backyard, where they recovered a firearm and discovered Zhyon Wilson, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators say the circumstances surrounding the shooting remain unclear. Detectives are actively reviewing surveillance footage and interviewing witnesses to piece together what happened.
