A night that began like any other turned tragic in DeSoto, leaving a young life lost far too soon.
According to the DeSoto Police Department, officers responded to a shooting around 12:30 a.m. in the parking lot of Krab Kingz on North Hampton Road. Multiple people were struck by gunfire, and emergency responders rushed victims to nearby hospitals.
Among them was 20-year-old Kyeler Hunter, who later died from his injuries.
Authorities say the investigation is still ongoing, and no arrests have been made at this time. While the incident is believed to be isolated, police are urging anyone with information, photos, or video to come forward to assist in the investigation.
