Couple Identified in Apparent Murder-Suicide in Wewahitchka
Authorities have identified a couple found dead in what investigators say was an apparent murder-suicide in Wewahitchka, Florida.
Deputies responded Monday afternoon to a home off Stone Mill Creek Road in Gulf County after reports of an incident.
When officers arrived, they found a man and a woman deceased at the scene.
Investigators have since confirmed that the case is being treated as a murder-suicide, stating that the man shot the woman before turning the gun on himself.
The victims have been identified as Lorelei Elizabeth Strickland and her husband, Jarrott Strickland.
Authorities say the investigation is still ongoing as they work to gather more details about what led up to the incident.
