14-Year-Old Cypress Falls Student DeAnthony Glenn Dies After Highway 6 Bicycle Crash
The family of DeAnthony Glenn, a 14-year-old freshman at Cypress Falls High School, confirmed that he has passed away following a tragic crash on Highway 6.
The incident occurred around 11:15 p.m. on Saturday near Highway 6 and Pebble Lake Drive in northwest Harris County. According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, DeAnthony was crossing the roadway on his bicycle when he was struck by a Jeep Wrangler. The driver remained at the scene, cooperated with investigators, and showed no signs of intoxication.
DeAnthony was airlifted to Memorial Hermann Hospital in the Texas Medical Center in critical condition. Despite the tireless efforts of medical staff, he later succumbed to his injuries.
“It is with unimaginable heartbreak that we share that DeAnthony succumbed to his injuries,” his family said in a statement. “Despite the tireless efforts of the medical team, our beloved DeAnthony passed away, leaving his family and community devastated.”
DeAnthony was remembered by his loved ones as bright, caring, and full of life. He excelled academically and athletically at Cypress Falls, with a particular passion for football. His infectious smile and joyful spirit left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.
The family is seeking support from the community to help cover funeral expenses, which are estimated at $16,000. A GoFundMe campaign has been set up to assist with these costs and provide support during this difficult time.
