Man Arrested for DUI After Fatal Crash on Holly Drive
A 37-year-old Albany man has been arrested following a deadly crash that claimed the life of a local woman earlier this week.
According to the Dougherty County Coroner’s Office, the crash occurred early Tuesday morning, February 10, on Holly Drive in Albany. Authorities said a male and female were involved in the collision.
The female victim has been identified as Emonica Dawson. She was transported to Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital for treatment but later died from her injuries.
Officials identified the driver as Jartavious Bernard Fraizer, 37, who was arrested Wednesday, February 11. He is facing DUI charges in connection with the crash and is currently being held at the Dougherty County Jail.
Investigators have not released specific details about what led up to the collision. The incident remains under active investigation, and authorities say additional information may be released as it becomes available.
